Communist Party of Belarus

The Communist Party of Belarus or KPB was founded in 1996. The party believes in Marxism-Leninism and is a supporting party of the current president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.
In the general election of 2000 the party won six seats, that rose to eight seats in 2004 but they dropped back to six seats once more in 2008 in the 110 seat House of Representatives.
The Communist Party of Belarus is a member of the Union of Communist Parties – Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
