United Civil Party of Belarus

The United Civil Party of Belarus was founded in October 1995 as a merger of the United Democratic Party and the Civic Party. The party describes itself as centre-right and believes in Conservatism and Liberal conservatism.
The party opposes the government of President Alexander Lukashenko and has been unsuccessful in winning any seats to parliament since its formation. It has been a member of several coalitions in past election campaigns but without success.
United Civil Party of Belarus is an Associate Member of the International Democrat Union (IDU) and an Observer member of the European People’s Party (EPP).
