Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria

The Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria or DSB was founded in 2004 by Ivan Kostov, formerly of the Union of Democratic Forces. It describes itself as centre-right and believes in Conservatism and Liberal Conservatism.
In their first electoral test in June 2005 the party won 17 seats and 6.4% of the vote.
In early 2009 they joined the Union of Democratic Forces led Blue Coalition and in elections of that year the Coalition won just 15 seats and 6.76% of the vote.
In the 2013 general election the DSB lost all representation in the National Assembly.
The Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria are members of the European People’s Party.
