Progressive Movement

The Progressive Movement or MP was founded in 1991 by Jean-Jacques Ekindi and is a minor opposition party, currently holding one seat in the National Assembly after the 2007 general election.

The MP have supported other parties; in 2004 Ekindi stood down as a presidential candidate to support John Fru Ndi and in 2007 they formed an alliance with the UDC to avoid putting up candidates in the same constituencies.
