Published 5th December, 2011
The African Forum for reconstruction was created in 1992 from three groups, the Movement for National Regeneration – Originals (MORENA) the Gabonese Socialist Union (USG) and the Gabonese Socialist Party (PSG). The party describes itself as a radical left party and is led by its sole parliamentary representative by Léon Mbou Yembi.
In the 2001 general election the party failed to win any seats but in 2006 they won one of 120 seats in the National Assembly.
