Gabonese Union for Democracy and Development
Published 5th December, 2011
The Gabonese Union for Democracy and Development was formed in 2005 by Zacharie Myboto and other dissidents from the ruling Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG) although it was not formally recognised until April 2006.
In the 2006 general election the party won four seats in the 120 seat National Assembly. It remains an opposition party despite two of its members joining the government coalition in 2009.
