Social Democratic Party “Harmony”

The Social Democratic Party “Harmony” or SDPS) is a centre left/social democracy party which was founded in February 2010. It is an amalgam of a number of political parties which came together including the National Harmony Party, the New Centre and the Social Democratic Party. In 2011 it added the Daugavpils City Party into a further merger.
As part of the Harmony Centre in 2010 it won 25 of the 29 alliance seats in the 100 seat Saeima. It is a member party of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats.
