New Progressive Party

The New Progressive Party of NPP was founded on 16th March 2008 by a splinter group from the Democratic Labour Party (DLP). The party describes itself as centre-left and believes in democratic socialism, progressivism and green politics.

Although the party did not win any seats in the 2008 general election, it did win a by-election in 2009 giving it one of 299 seats in the National Assembly.
