Progressive Democratic Party

The Progressive Democratic Party or PDP was founded on 13 December 1983 (when it was called the Progressive Socialist Rally) but was not recognised until September 1988. It took its new name in 2001. It describes itself as centre to left-centre and believes in social liberalism and social democracy.

The party has never had any representation in the Chamber of Deputies.
