An election took place on 4 March 2007.

Estonian elections create a situation where coalitions between parties are required. The government which was formed on 5th April 2007 is a coalition between the Estonian Reform Party and the Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica.

(i) The Res Publica Party and the Pro Patria Union merged in 2006 and formed the party named.
(ii) The Moderate People’s Party became the Social Democratic Party in 2004.
(iii) This was the first election in which the Greens participated.
