President Pranab Mukherjee is visiting Bihar to launch the state’s road map for agriculture, which is intended to boost food, fisheries and animal husbandry industries.

The five-year agriculture roadmap (2012-17) requires funding of Rs. 1.52 lakh crore. Finance for the roadmap would be sourced from the state plan, centrally sponsored schemes, central schemes, externally aided schemes and the rural infrastructure development fund of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
