50,000 demand early elections

Up to 50,000 opposition activists marched in the streets of Belgrade today (5th February 2011) protesting against economic hardships, corruption and demanding an early general election.

The opposition Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) has warned that there will be continuous protests until President Tadic calls an election.  The next elections in Serbia are scheduled for 2012.
