Romney gets two boosts
Mitt Romney, the leading candidate in the Republican race for the presidential nomination, has received two pieces of good news today.
Yesterday John Huntsman, a middle ranking contender, decided to withdraw from the presidential race and he gave his support to Mitt Romney.
In further good news, Romney leads in the polls for the Florida race. In a Public Policy Polling Survey just released Romney is on 41%. His closest rival is Newt Gingrich on 26%, followed by Rick Santorum on 11%, Ron Paul on 10% and Rick Perry on 4%.
The Florida primary takes place on 31st January and sends 50 delegates to the Republican National Convention in August.
