Social Democrats lead polls

According to two recent polls the Social Democratic Party (SD) are on 25.5% with the ruling Venstre (V) on 25.5% and 23.4%.

The two polls, Megafon for Politiken and Ramboell Poll for Jyllands-Posten give the centre left 53.8% of the vote and the centre right 46.0%. In the leadership stakes, Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen remains the most credible of all the party leaders with 19.4% of those questioned. Margrethe Vestager, leader of the Social Liberal Party came next with 16.4% and the Social Democrat leader Helle Thorning-Schmidt on 14.2%.

The two polls show the following figures for each party with the Megafon poll shown first in each case.

Venstre (V) 25.5% and 23.4%
Social Democratic Party (SD) 25.7% and 25.7%
Danish People’s Party (DF) 12.5% and 13.1%
Socialist People’s Party (SF) 12.1% and 11.1%
Conservative People’s Party (KF) 5.4% and 5.5%
Social Liberal Party (RVB) 9.4% and 9.2% (You may also see them referred to as the ‘Radicals’)
Liberal Alliance 3.1% and 4.2%
Red Green Alliance 5.6% and 6.8%.
