17th vote for PM takes place today

Published

The 17th attempt by the Nepal parliament to elect a Prime Minister will take place today.  The only candidate is Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ram Chandra Paudel and he is unlikely to win the majority vote required from legislators.

If Mr Paudel is unsuccessful again, the NC have said that they will withdraw his candidature.
