BN wins Merlimau by election

The ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) has won the Merlimau by election with an increased majority. Roslan Ahmad the BN candidate took 3,643 votes (previously 2,154) against second place Yuhaizad Abdullah of the Parti Islam Semalaysia (PAS) who received 2,319 votes.

Voter turnout was 78.98%.
