Election postponed

The general election which was due to take place on 29th December has been indefinitely postponed according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI).

The reason given for the postponement is the continued demands by opposition parties for a delay to put in place proper rules to prevent fraud as well as ensuring that the electoral register is properly prepared.

No new date has been given.
