Exiled Ravalomanana set to return

Exiled former President of Madagascar, Marc Ravalomanana, has said that he plans to reurn to the country to help with forthcoming elections.

Mr Ravalomanana was ousted in 2009 and went into exile in South Africa. The government has said that if he returns he will be arrested.

A general election, which was due to take place on 16th March 2011, has been postponed. No new date has been given.
