Fine Gael leads Irish opinion poll

As the pre-election fervour builds in Ireland the most recent opinion poll published (19th December 2010) in The Business Post shows the government party Fianna Fáil on 17% with partner Green Party on 2%.

Opposition party Fine Gael is on 34%, the Labour Party on 23%, Sinn Féin on 14% and Independents on 10%.

Over the past year Fine Gael has been consistently in the mid 30s with Fianna Fáil falling from around 32% to their present position.
