General Election delayed

Published

Elections for a new 567 seat House of Representatives were due to start with Phase One today running until 23rd March and then a second phase in April. The elections have been postponed until May or June because of a Supreme Constitutional Court ruling on 1st March that the law on electoral constituencies was unconstitutional because it did not guarantee fair representation and a second ruling on 7th March that the law banning dual citizens from running in the election was also unconstitutional.
