Voters from the 85,000 population mountain principality of Andorra will go to the polls today.  Voting started a few days ago and already 31.43% of voters were said to have cast their vote.

The election has two main contenders, the Social Democratic Party (PS) of James Bartumeu which took 14 of the 28 seats in the last election and the newly created Democrats for Andorra of Toni Marti.

The Democrats for Andorra are contesting their first election and are formed from a union of the Liberal party of Andorra, the New Centre and elements of the Social Democratic party.
