Goodluck Jonathan wins

Goodluck Jonathan has won the presidential election comfortably.  With all 36 states in, but some awaiting confirmation, Jonathan has picked up 23 states and took more than 25% of the vote in 32 states.  In total he polled 22,496,157 votes.

Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari,  polled 12,214,529 votes and took 12 states, all in the North of the country.

Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidate, Nuhu Ribadu, took 2,088, 791 votes and one state, Osun, in the South West.
