Hong Kong chooses CEO
An electoral college or Election Committee (EC) of 1,193 voters will choose a new Chief Executive Officer for Hong Kong today. The incumbent CEO, Donald Tsang, has completed his two terms.
The battle, which has become increasingly bitter with many accusations of impropriety, is between Leung Chun-ying a property developer and former businessman Henry Tang.
Polling started at 9 a.m. and Leung is expected to win the contest.
China has said that this will be the last election fought by electoral college and that it will introduce universal suffrage for the seven million population by 2017.
