National Coalition Party launches manifesto

The second largest party, the National Coalition Party, in the Finnish parliament has launched its manifesto in readiness for the general election which will be held on 17th April 2011. The previous election was held on 18th March 2007.

The National Coalition Party currently has 50 of the 200 seats in the parliament and is part of the Centre Party coalition government.

Opinion polls for January 2011 put the National Coalition Party on 20.4% of the vote (22.3% in 2007), the Centre Party on 18.5% (23.1% in 2007) and the third largest party, the Social Democrats on 18.9% (21.4% in 2007).
