National Coalition Party leads opinion polls

Currently the second largest party in the Finnish parliament, the National Coalition Party, is in the lead in the latest TNS Gallup poll. The results below show the latest opinion poll result and the standing of the parties in the 2007 general election (in brackets).

National Coalition Party 20.2% (2007 – 22.3%)
Centre Party 18.2% (2007 – 23.1%)
Social Democratic Party 17.9% (2007 – 21.4%)
True Finns 17.9% (2007 – 4.1%)

The True Finns are the party to watch at the moment. They are a far right anti-immigration party.

The Centre Party is the largest party and is in a coalition with the National Coalition Party and others.
