New opinion poll

A new opinion poll carried out for the Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE) shows the National Coalition party still leading with 20.1% of the vote.

The Centre Party has 18.1% and the Social Democrats are also on 18.1%. The True Finns Party which was on 4.1% of the vote in 2007 is now standing at 17.2% just behind the main parties.

The Green League has 9%, the Left Alliance has 7.3% and the Christian Democrats are standing on 4.6% with the Swedish People’s Party on on 3.8% of the vote.

These results would suggest the election to take place on 17th April will be very tight.
