Published

Two new polls published in the last few days would suggest that the Socialist Party (PS) is gently increasing their hold on the election whilst the opposition Social Democratic Party (PSD) are slipping back.

An Intercampus poll puts the PS on 36.8% and the PSD on 33.9%. Another poll by Marktest puts the PS on 33.9% and the PSD on 39.7%. In mid April the PS had been as low as 28% and the PSD as high as 38%.

The third party, the Democratic and Social Centre – People’s Party (CDS-PP) is on 13.4% in the Intercampus poll and 9.0% in the Marktest poll. Their best this year has been 11.3% in mid April.

The elections takes place on 5th June.
