Parliament dissolved

Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has issued a decree dissolving parliament. Elections must now happen within 60 days.

Since the beginning of the year there have been increasingly loud cries of government corruption from opposition MPs and the general public which has led to two new prime ministers and a number of ministerial resignations. T is this unrest which has forced the Emir to seek to establish a new parliament.
