Elections for the Tobago House of Assembly were held yesterday with 39 candidates from four parties standing.

The centre-right People’s National Movement (PNM) won ten of the twelve seats, losing two seats to the Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP) but comfortably retaining control of the island’s authority for its fifth consecutive term.
