President elected for a second term

Hungary’s parliament re-elected János Áder to serve a second term as president of the country yesterday. Áder received 131 votes to 39 votes for the Independent candidate László Majtényi in a second round runoff. The post of president in Hungary is almost entirely ceremonial.
