Presidential race tightens

Published

The presidential race is tightening as we approach the 10th April poll. Alejandro Toledo’s lead is slipping and Ollanta Humala appears to be the fastest riser, up 3% in the Ipsos Apoyo survey published in El Comercio. Luis Castanada has also fallen back. The results of the opinion poll are:

Alejandro Toldeo 23%
Keiko Fujimori 19%
Ollanta Humala 17%
Luis Castaneda 14%
Pedro Pablo Kuczynski 14%

Alejandro Toledo had been as high as 36.5% in one poll in mid February but has steadily fallen back since. In the same February poll Ollanta Humala stood at 11%.
