Revolutionary youth will contest election

The Revolution Youth Coalition, which was formed in the early days of the protests to oust President Hosni Mubarak earlier this year, has said that it will be putting up as many as 200 candidates in the forthcoming general election.

Al Arabiya news reports the movement as saying that “We invite all political forces to reject the Islamic-secular polarization that has been forced on Egyptian society and to create a new parameter where those who win are the ones who believe in continuing the goals and responsibilities of the Jan. 25 revolution,”
