US might support re-poll

Published

Yesterday Cheryl Mills, Hilary Clinton’s Chief of Staff informed journalists that the US might support moves to call a new poll in the Haiti Presidential election.

Currently Haiti is awaiting a report by a team of election experts from the Organisation for American States into the conduct of the 28th November 2010 election. Twelve of the 19 candidates have called for the election to be nullified due to massive fraud.

The report is due soon and amongst other options may call for the poll to be cancelled, re-scheduled or repeated.
