Serbia’s Electoral Commission has announced preliminary results for yesterday’s presidential election which would appear to show a clear victory for Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić in the first round.
With 56.56% of polling stations processed Vučić has 57.03% of the vote on a turnout of 54.13%.
The results as published on the Republic Electoral Commission website so far are as follows:
Saša Janković – 245,865 votes or 14.89 percent
Vuk Jeremić – 87,980 votes or 5.33 percent
Miroslav Parović – 5,494 votes or 0.33 percent
Saša Radulović – 22,497 votes or 1.36 percent
Luka Maksimović -149 320 votes or 9.04 per cent
Aleksandar Vučić – 941,514 votes or 57.03 percent
Boško Obradović – 35,587 votes or 2.16 percent
Dr. Vojislav Šešelj – 74,143 votes or 4.49 percent
Dr. Aleksandar Popović – 16,240 votes or 0.98 percent
Milan Stamatović – 21,381 votes or 1.30 per cent
Nenad Čanak – 22,778 votes or 1.38 percent
