West Bengal 4th phase today

The fourth of six phases of the West Bengal state assembly elections is being held today. In the first three phases turnout was very high, with as much as 84.1% in phase 3 and at the time of reporting turnout in phase 4 had already reached 21% in the first two hours of polling.

This election takes place in four southern districts where 366 candidates are contesting 63 seats in the 294 seat assembly. In total 12.6 million people are entitled to vote across 15,711 polling stations.
