West Bengal fifth phase of election today

The fifth phase of the six phased election for the West Bengal state assembly takes place today.

In this election 7.4 million voters will vote at 9,400 polling stations in four districts for 38 of the 294 seats in the state assembly. Polling is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time and by 11 a.m. a record 40% had already voted.

The final phase will take place on 10th May with counting for all six phases taking place on 13th May.
