West Bengal state second phase election underway

The second phase of the six phase election for the West Bengal state assembly is being held today. A total of 50 constituencies in three districts are being contested by 293 candidates.

Around 9.3 million people are entitled to vote in this phase between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. local time. There are 11,531 polling stations and a 16% poll had been recorded in the first two hours.
