Published

A spokesman for incumbent president Boni Yayi has said that the president has won by a large margin in Sunday’s (13th March 2011) poll. However, opposition Adrien Houngbedji has denied this and says that the election will go to a second round runoff.

There were twelve candidates in the presidential race and final results have still to be released.
