35% increase in minimum wage

The Lebanese Cabinet has agreed the first increase in the minimum wage since 2008. The minimum wage has gone up from Lebanese Pounds 500,000 (£215; $330) to Lebanese Pounds 675,000 (£290; $446) per month.

The change will come in to effect once it has been gazetted.
