Another party banned from standing in elections

Published

The Ministry of Justice has banned another party from standing in the elections due to take place in December.

The reasons given were that the method of electing the party leaders contravened election law and that some of the 45,000 signatures included underage, dead and non resident members.

The party, Parnassus, which was formed by former prime minister Mikhail Kasyanov is the eighth party in the last four years to be refused registration for technical reasons.
