Anti-corruption commissioners resign en masse

Published

The Slovenian Press Agency (STA) is reporting that the three members of the Presidency of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption of the Republic of Slovenia (CPC) have tendered their resignations to President Borut Pahor. The agency cites the board members as saying that they had not received the support of the government.

The three commissioners involved are believed to be Goran Klemenčič, Chief Commissioner; Rok Praprotnik, Deputy Chief Commissioner and Liljana Selinšek Deputy Chief Commissioner.

If the story is verified then it will add to the woes of Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek who has already lost two senior Cabinet ministers in the last week. The prime minister is currently in Vilnius for a European Union meeting.
