Bangladesh and Belarus sign series of agreements

The Bangladesh and Belarus governments have signed a number of trade and cultural agreements upon the visit of the Belarusian prime minister to Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and visiting Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich were present at the signing ceremony which including the following agreements and MOUs according to the Daily Star:

Agreement for Promotion and Protection of Investment
Agreement on Visa Exemption for holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports
Agreement on Cooperation between the Belarus State Centre for Accreditation and Bangladesh Accreditation Board
Agreement on Cooperation in Science and Technology
Agreement on Military Technical Cooperation
Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Education
General Agreement for Cooperation between Bangladesh Institute of International Strategic Studies (BIISS) and Centre for International Studies of the Belarus State University.

MoUs included:

Cooperation in legal sphere
Establishment of friendly relation between Minsk and Dhaka
Cooperation in agro-industrial manufacturing
Quality and safety assurances of export of aquatic biological resources, of objects of aquaculture and of processed products from Bangladesh
Cooperation between Bangladesh Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
