Published

The Spanish Constitutional Court has lifted a ban on the Bildu alliance from standing in local elections in the Basque region of Spain for lack of evidence of their involvement with ETA the separatist organisation.

Bildu is an alliance of three parties, Eusko Alkartasuna, Alternatiba and Arab Bai, and some smaller groupings which was founded on 3rd April 2011. They are now free to contest the local elections which will be taking place across Spain on 22nd May.
