Cabinet approves flood alleviation scheme

The Thai Cabinet has approved the spending of 3.9 billion Baht (£800 million; $1.23 billion) in schemes to protect six business parks from future flooding.

The Sun Daily reports that the six areas covered are the Saharattanakorn Industrial Park, Rojjana Industrial Park, Banwa Industrial Park, Bangpra-In Industrial Park, Nawanakorn Industrial Park and Bangkradee Industrial Park. All will be protected by new new dykes which will be completed within two months.
