Conservatives retain comfortable lead in the polls

Published

A Canadian Press Harris-Decima opinion poll of just over 2,000 Canadians puts Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservatives comfortably in the lead.

The poll which we sourced in Global Edmonton gives the Conservatives 34%, the New Democratic Party (NDP) at 27%, the Liberal Party at 24% and the Greens at 7%.

In recent polls the NDP had been eating away at Conservative support but after a quiet summer it looks like people are returning to their traditional parties with even the Liberals picking up once more.
