Curfew ends

Published

Egypt has ended the curfew which was imposed on 28th January by ex president Hosni Mubarak. At its peak the curfew lasted for seventeen hours a day, but after the fall of Mubarak it was scaled back to 2 a.m. to 5 a.m.

The curfew was largely ignored by most Egyptians and few say that it will make any difference to their lives. Nevertheless it remains a significant gesture by the Egyptian authorities.
