Economic outlook now negative

Published

The Fitch Ratings agency has placed the Zambian economic outlook on negative from its previous stable, although it’s rating remains at B-.

The reasons quoted by the agency were the reversal of the privatisation of ZAMTEL, which was supposed to be sold to the Libyan firm LAPGreen along with the cancellation and investigation of the privatisation of Zanaco Bank.
