EU lifts more sanctions

The European Union (EU) has lifted further sanctions that had been imposed on Cote d’Ivoire during the period when Laurent Gbagbo would not release presidential power earlier this year.

The EU had lifted sanctions against the cocoa industry on 8th April. As of today further sanctions are lifted from the National Petroleum Operations Company and five banks.
