The agreement states that both sides will withdraw their fighters within twenty-four hours of 10th April, meaning the ceasefire will come into operation at 6 a.m. local time on the 12th.

The agreement also means that the Syrian army will withdraw its forces from the cities, that humanitarian aid will be allowed to enter the areas and talks between the opposition and the government. The United Nations is sending up to 300 observers to monitor the ceasefire.
