President François Hollande’s popularity has dropped to an all-time low for a French President according to a BVA Survey conducted last week and reported by the Reuters news agency amongst others.

The survey shows support for the president at 26% with no other president having dropped below 30% in the last 32 years.

“During the month of October 2013, Francois Hollande’s rating dropped 6 points to 26 percent approval rating (versus 73 percent against) crossing the historical threshold of 30 percent approval and setting a historical record for unpopularity in France” the survey said.

Around 84% of those surveyed said the government was inefficient and 74% believed it was not fair.

Earlier this month an Ipsos poll conducted for “Le Point” magazine recorded support for the president at 24%.
